Anne Hathaway - Actress Anne Hathaway Playing First-ever Concert In New York

Actress Anne Hathaway is set to host her first concert in New York City next month (Oct12) to help raise money for the revitalisation for The Public Theatre.

The Dark Knight Rises star recently wrapped up her new film, a big screen adaptation of hit stage show Les Miserables, and in December (12) moviegoers will get the chance to hear her musical talents for the first time when the project is released.

But some fans won't have to wait that long - Hathaway, who took voice lessons for the role, has agreed to perform a collection of hits from the musical Cabaret on 24 October (12) at Joe's Pub.

Proceeds from Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of Cabaret With Anne Hathaway and Friends will benefit The Public Theatre, a company that has a special place in the 29 year old's heart - she starred in its production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in 2009.
