British actor Ben Fellows has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Fellows, who enjoyed a role in British police drama The Bill, was arrested at Birmingham International Airport in England on Monday (15Dec14) by West Midlands Police before he was transferred to the custody of London's Metropolitan Police.
A police spokesman says,"Benjamin Matthew Fellows, 40.... was charged on 15 December with committing an act/ series of acts with the intent to pervert a course of public justice between November 14 and 14 December, 2012."
According to Birminghammail.co.uk, the charge was made in connection to a Scotland Yard investigation called Operation Fairbank, which was set up in 2012 to look into a child sex abuse ring.
Fellows was remanded in custody following his appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court in London on Monday. He is next scheduled to appear at Southwark Crown Court on 29 December (14).
