Abbie Cornish - Abbie Cornish Not Intimidated By Big Budgets
Abbie Cornish says she isn't intimidated when working on movies with big budgets.
Abbie Cornish, the Australian actress who is currently starring in the fantasy-adventure 'Sucker Punch', says working on independent movies and $100 million blockbusters feels the same, reports the Vancouver Sun.
The 28-year-old stars alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Emily Browning in the highly-anticipated new film, which has been described by director ZACK SYNDER as "Alice in Wonderland with machine guns". When asked whether she felt intimidated working on the big budget movie, Cornish said, "It's a $100-million film. It's Warner Brothers. I've never done a film like that, I've never been in a movie with that budget. You see big billboards everywhere, and it's on the Internet and the television. But it still feels the same to me; the process of making it was the same". The actress is quickly gaining a reputation as one of Hollywood's brightest stars and she recently starred alongside Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper in 'Limitless'. Quizzed on the key to a healthy working environment, Cornish said, "You know what? In the past couple of years, I've worked with some really awesome people and developed friendships and relationships I will take with me for the rest of my life. For example, on Sucker Punch, the five of us girls bonded like you wouldn't even believe".
Abbie Cornish first rose to prominence after her acclaimed performance in the 2004 Australian movie 'Somersault', but it wasn't until 2006 that she signed with an American agent.
