Aaron Sorkin To Adapt Steve Jobs Biography
The Oscar-winning screenwriter will adapt Walter Isaacson's authorised biography, which was Amazon's best-selling title of 2011.
A statement from Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures, reads, "Steve Jobs' story is unique: he was one of the most revolutionary and influential men not just of our time but of all time.
"There is no writer working in Hollywood today who is more capable of capturing such an extraordinary life for the screen than Aaron Sorkin; in his hands, we're confident that the film will be everything that Jobs himself was: captivating, entertaining, and polarising."
Sorkin's new project isn't the only film about Jobs in the works - Ashton Kutcher is to star as the technology mogul in an independent movie called Jobs.
Jobs, the brains behind the iPod and the iPad, lost his battle with cancer in October (11).
