Cent - 50 Cent: 'Fat Joe Rivalry Could Have Ended In Tragedy'

50 Cent is relieved to have finally settled his longrunning feud with rap rival Fat Joe because he feared their vicious war of words would end in tragedy.

The In Da Club hitmaker approached Fat Joe at the 2012 Bet Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday (29Sep12) to call a truce to their eight-year battle before they both hit the stage to pay tribute to their mutual friend, late music mogul Chris Lighty.

Fat Joe opened up about the incident earlier this week (begs01Oct12), admitting the "two grown men" decided to settle their differences with a handshake in honour of Lighty, who had tried for years to get the pair to make peace.

Now 50 Cent has addressed the situation on Twitter.com, admitting the rivalry could very well have taken a fatal twist.

In a series of posts, he writes, "Me and @Fatjoe did something that never happens in hip hop at the Bet awards. I have anger issues @Fatjoe has a lot of pride. We have money, we have influence. This combination could bring out the body bags."

And 50 insists the two artists could never have agreed to let bygones be bygones had they not shared a mutual respect for one another.

He adds, "We let it go for Chris we made a moment,but no one calls for cease fire with out respecting there (sic) opponent. It's mutual."

The stars fell out in 2004 when the heavyweight MC sided with 50 Cent's number one rap rival, Ja Rule.
