Grammy Awards - 2011 Grammy Award Nominations Sees Eminem Lead The Way

The nominations for the 53rd annual GRAMMY AWARDS have been announced, and it looks likely that American rapper EMIMEM will do battle with singer LADY GAGA come the ceremony in February, after the acts won ten and six nominations respectively. Elsewhere, SUSAN BOYLE is nominated for 'Best Pop Vocal' for her debut album 'I Dreamed A Dream', and JUSTIN BIEBER will be looking to scoop the award for 'Best Newcomer', reports MTV News.
38-year-old Eminem leads the way with nods in the categories of 'Album of the Year', 'Song of the Year', and 'Record of the Year'. His seventh studio album 'Recovery' was released on June 21st 2010 and sold 741,000 copies in its first week, sending it straight to the top of the Billboard 200. Records by ARCADE FIRE, LADY ANTEBELLUM, LADY GAGA, and KATY PERRY have also been nominated for the year's best album. BRUNO MARS received seven nominations, including a nod for his work on CEE-LO GREEN's hit song 'Forget You'.
