2010 Bet Hip Hop Awards Spark Inspectah Deck Death Rumours

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday October 2nd 2010, and the big winners included Nicki Minaj who was victorious in the categories of 'Rookie of the Year', and 'People's Champ', while also winning the 'Made You Look' award in recognition of her fashion flair. MTV News reports that the 28-year-old accepted her awards in typically extravagant fashion, taking to the stage in a black dominatrix-like outfit, with a blonde bob hairstyle, and pink lipstick, telling the crowd, "I'm paving the way for girls. I wanna thank all the girls of hip-hop".

Despite winning three awards, JAY-Z didn't attend the awards show. The music mogul had success in the categories of 'Perfect Combo' for his collaboration with ALICIA KEYES, as well as in 'CD of the Year', and the coveted 'Best Live Performer'. The 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards was hosted by the comedian Mike Epps.
