The 1975 and Tired Pony rocked the Bushmills Live festival on Ireland's north coast on Thursday night (12.06.14).
The Manchester band and supergroup, formed by Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, were joined by a number of international acts, including James Vincent McMorrow, Luke Sital-Singh, David C. Clements, Matthew and the Atlas, Levity Breaks and Rubblebucket.
The festival at the unique Old Bushmills Distillery was attended by 700 music and whiskey fans from across the globe, including America, Portugal and Russia.
Frontman Matt Healy from The 1975 couldn't wait to get on stage after the band flew in on a private jet from Ibiza Rocks.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''It's a nice place [the Distillery], we're in a different place every day [now], so we're kinda just trying to take it all in at the moment.
''We're very flattered to be asked to come and headline, and we've been given our own bottle of whiskey.''
The 'Chocolate' hitmakers - also made up Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann and George Daniel - played a number of songs from their debut album, including 'Sex', 'Girls' and 'Pressure'.
Matt thrashed about the stage as female fans screamed with delight and their energetic set was crammed full of stunning instrumentals, big hits and saxophone sounds.
Meanwhile, Gary, who performed with band mates Peter Buck (REM), Iain Archer, Richard Colburn (Belle and Sebastian), Scott McCaughey, Troy Stewart and producer/multi-instrumentalist Garret 'Jacknife' Lee, was also thrilled to have played the intimate festival.
He said: ''Last night was Tired Pony's first gig in Ireland and it was unlike any other gig we've played before. The atmosphere was great.''
