007 Writer Mankiewicz Dead At 68

Tom Mankiewicz, who had screenwriting in his DNA (His father, Joseph Mankiewicz, wrote All About Eve , and his uncle, Herman Mankiewicz, wrote Citizen Kane ) died Saturday in Los Angeles at age 68. His own screenwriting credits included the James_bond">James Bond movies Live and Let Die, The Man With the Golden Gun and Superman (as creative consultant). He was also the writer-director of several episodes of ABC's Hart To Hart and directed the 1987 spoof, Dragnet , starring Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd.
