ZIGGY STARDUST COSTUME UP FOR SALE

The stage costume worn by DAVID BOWIE during his last performance as ZIGGY STARDUST in 1973 to set to go under the hammer at London auction house Christie's. The flamboyant outfit is expected to fetch between GBP4,000 ($7,800) and GBP6,000 ($11,7000) at the sale next month (APR07). Various other items of musical memorabilia will also be up for sale including MARC BOLAN's Gibson guitar, which has an estimated starting price of GBP30,000 ($58,500). THE WIZARD OF OZ and VILLAGE PEOPLE outfits worn by British rockers ARCTIC MONKEYS in their Brit Awards acceptance speeches last month (FEB07) are expected to fetch between GBP600 and GBP800 ($1,170 to $1,560) at the 29 April (07) auction.
