RENEE ZELLWEGGER put extra effort into making her new movie LEATHERHEADS because she didn't want to disappoint the director - her friend GEORGE CLOONEY. The actress has a lot of admiration for Clooney - who also co-stars in the film - and was desperate not to let him down as he has been such a good pal to her over the years. She says, "I didn't want to disappoint him. I didn't want to be the person who sucks in this film. George is my confidant. He tells me what he thinks and I want to know because I have so much respect for him."
