ZELLWEGER: 'NOTHING HAS CHANGED SINCE HITTING 40'

RENEE ZELLWEGER has dismissed the myth Hollywood turns its back on actresses when they hit 40 - insisting she is still flooded with movie offers.
The Bridget Jones's Diary star celebrated the milestone anniversary in April (09), and in the buildup to the birthday insists she was bombarded with questions about how it felt to be entering her fifth decade.
The star finds it bizarre that people are obsessed with Hollywood's leading ladies turning 40 - because she is convinced her career outlook hasn't changed at all.
And Zellweger admits she is lucky she is still getting work after the supposed 'cut-off' point for actresses - but credits her lack of interest in her image for the continued job offers.
She says, "It's so hard to comment because I don't see it. I don't know. I'm so spoiled with respect to the experiences I've had and the opportunities I've had that I don't see it.
"I've never been that girl who is dependent on how fabulous my hair is or my stature or that I look good in order to work. So I don't really think about it in those terms.
"I'm so sad that everyone keeps pointing to this birthday. 'You had this birthday, how do you feel now?' I'm thinking, 'I feel nothing different.'"
