RENEE ZELLWEGER has set straight reports she began dating ex-lover JACK WHITE when they met on the set of 2003 movie COLD MOUNTAIN. The 37-year-old, who won a Best Supporting Actress for her role as RUBY THEWES, only shared one brief scene with THE WHITE STRIPES singer, and they didn't start a romance until six months later. She also insists her relationship with White was continuous before their split in 2004, rather than the on-off affair portrayed by the media. She says, "We didn't date during Cold Mountain as was reported. In fact, having only a scene together, we barely spoke and didn't get in touch again until six months later. "People said it was this on-again, off-again relationship, but I've never had one of those. We were just good about protecting our privacy."
