ZAC BROWN BAND HOSTS CHARITY GIG
The ZAC BROWN BAND hosted a charity gig in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday night (30Oct09) - with stars including KID ROCK and SHAWN MULLINS taking the stage to help save a beloved local theatre.
The musical group organised the benefit gig to raise funds for the historical Georgia Theatre, which burned to the ground in June (09).
Kid Rock drew the most cheers when he joined the band for a rendition of Marshall Tucker track Can’t You See and his own Lynyrd Skynyrd-inspired hit All Summer Long.
Mullins also contributed, along with Angie Aparo, country duo Joey + Rory and vocal quartet Little Big Town.
The Georgia Theatre, which has hosted big names including R.E.M., was destroyed in a blaze over the summer and officials subsequently launched a charity drive to fund the re-building project.
