YEN TIPPED TO PLAY LEE IN BIOPIC
BLADE II star DONNIE YEN is being tipped to play kung fu legend BRUCE LEE is an upcoming biopic produced by the late actor's family. Yen, a self-confessed fan of the martial arts great, admits he's been in talks for the part but has doubts about any actor's suitability for the challenging role. The 43-year-old says, "I've been contacted to play Bruce Lee but talks are only at an early stage. I don't think anyone can play Bruce Lee. There's too much pressure to play him. "There would be a lot of preparations to do; I would have to make sure I'm fit. It's very difficult to play Bruce Lee, it's almost impossible. "Of course I'm very interested in playing the role but I would like to finish my current projects first. I would have to think about it first." Lee's brothers and sisters will produce the film, which will begin shooting next year (07). Lee died on 20 July 1973 in Hong Kong, aged just 32.
