XANADU STARS GET THEIR SKATES ON
The ambitious producers of a new version of OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN's cult movie musical XANADU are planning to turn the project into a roller-disco extravaganza. New York theatre favourites JANE KRAKOWSKI and BEN VEREEN are among the stars being considered for lead roles in the off Broadway musical, which follows the fortunes of a Greek muse who encourages two friends to build a roller disco. The new project will feature songs penned by ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA frontman JEFF LYNNE, who penned tracks for Newton John's hit 1980 film, which also starred actor/dancer GENE KELLY.
