British reality TV show winner SHAYNE WARD was put under tremendous pressure when his troubled father's jail term for rape hit the headlines last year (05), but he insists "nothing" could break his determination to come through it. The 21-year-old pop star, who won the SIMON COWELL-fronted show THE X FACTOR, was also hit with another shock when one of his brothers was charged with murder. His sibling was cleared, but Ward regrets being on the road and not with his family during the difficult time. He recalls, "I was travelling with the show when that all came out. "It was harder on my brothers and sisters, which is why I've so much respect for mum. "When it came out about him being in prison I couldn't let it break me. Nothing will. "I think every family has a past, so there's no point in denying it."
