WYMAN REFUSES TO EXPAND LONDON RESTAURANT
Rocker-turned-restaurateur BILL WYMAN has turned down countless offers to expand his Sticky Fingers restaurant in London - because he can't be bothered making sure a chain is up to high standards.
The former ROLLING STONES star has been offered franchise deals in America, Japan, Australia and throughout Europe but isn't interested in turning his restaurant into the next Hard Rock Cafe.
He says, "I don't want to extend it because, if I do, then I have to travel to the other restaurants and make sure they're working and the food is good.
"I had so many offers from the beginning to have franchises through America and Europe and Japan and Australia. I turned them all down.
"I didn't make Sticky Fingers to be a huge franchise business, like many of the other big restaurant chains. I just wanted a nice restaurant in London, where I could show off some memorabilia and just have people go and enjoy it.
"I'm very proud of Stickys, it's done very well and it still jogs along very successfully. People come from all over the world to visit and we win the award for the best burger some years."
