WRITER ASTOUNDED BY WHITAKER'S DEDICATION
THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND writer GILES FODEN was astounded by FOREST WHITAKER's dedication to his role as Ugandan dictator IDI AMIN - because he was always in character.
The author, who penned the novel which was adapted into an Oscar-winning movie, admits he was shocked to encounter Whitaker as himself long after filming stopped.
He says, "The only time I saw him as himself was months later when we were on the plane flying to Uganda for the premiere."
