WRIGHT BATTLES FOR RIGHT TO USE 'C' WORD
British director JOE WRIGHT waged a war of words with American studio executives over permission to use a strong expletive in his upcoming film.
The moviemaker has adapted Ian MCEwan's novel Atonement for the big screen, but faced a huge battle convincing Hollywood bosses the 'c' word was appropriate to the feature.
He told executives pushing for him to swap the offensive term for anatomically correct 'vagina', "I'm sorry, I'm not willing to do that.
"We're very excited about making this movie, but on one condition - and that is that the c**t word stays in the picture."
The film stars James MCAvoy and Keira Knightley as star-crossed lovers.
