WOOLARD DUE IN COURT OVER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGES

The actor who plays rap icon BIGGIE SMALLS in smash hit biopic NOTORIOUS must return to a New York court this month (Jan09) to face charges stemming from a fight with his wife. Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard was arrested in September 2008 after his wife Trina Younger called emergency services, following a fight at her mother's home.
According to Hip Hop Weekly, Woolard reportedly admitted to police that he hit Younger after she began pushing him and dared him to strike her.
Woolard was subsequently charged with misdemeanour assault, menacing and harassment.
Younger's mother later told the New York Post, "I know he wouldn't hit her. He's not like that. Most definitely they have a good relationship."
The couple married last year (08) after dating for four years.
