WINSTONE REFUSES ACTING HONOURS
Movie hardman RAY WINSTONE has slammed actors who accept titles and awards insisting there are millions of people who are more worthy of accolades. The SEXY BEAST star is humble about his glittering film career because he feels the entertainment industry's service to the world is negligible compared to the efforts of other professions, including medical workers. He tells People, "I don't have time for actors who take honours. I certainly don't deserve one. I'd give it to a nurse."

Well, I am humbled that Ray would put us health care providers in such
esteem. I have trained to heal. Everyday is a new challenge. Ray you have
struggled, you have learned your craft well. Many hours honing your unique
style, learning lines and mannerism. You should take that reward from all us
that appreciate your talent. Cheers

unfortunately Ray has not realized that he has been a nurse to those who are
ill and bed-ridden and have nothing but television and other outlets to
compfort their souls, but by watching his artistic aid, and seeing worlds they
can not live, have lived through watching his performance.
