WINSLET DENIES WESTWOOD ROLE

LATEST: British actress KATE WINSLET has denied she will portray VIVIENNE WESTWOOD in an upcoming movie about the fashion designer's life.
Reports last week (beg29Sep08) suggested Winslet was poised to play the punk icon in a biopic documenting the designer's rise to fame in the 1970s to the present day.
But both the Titanic star and Westwood's representatives insist the role remains open, claiming original reports by British Vogue were "blown completely out of proportion".
Winslet's spokesperson tells People.com reports of the actress taking the role are “not at all true".
A spokesperson from Westwood's team adds: "The script has not even been finished yet, let alone casting. Kate Winslet was just one of many names that were mentioned as possibles to play Vivienne, but this whole thing has been blown completely out of proportion.”
