WINOKUR'S BOND WITH SURROGATE MOTHER
Actress and DANCING WITH THE STARS contestant MARISSA JARET WINOKUR has become best friends with the surrogate mother carrying her first child.
The 35-year-old and her husband, King Of The Hill writer Judah Miller, opted for a surrogate birth after the actress underwent a hysterectomy in 2000 to help her beat cervical cancer. The procedure robbed her of the chance to carry a child herself - but she was able to freeze some of her eggs.
The couple can't wait to become parents in the summer - and former Broadway star Winokur reveals she has developed a close bond with the woman carrying her child.
She says, "It's been a long journey. We never thought we would have biological child so it's definitely a miracle. (She) has become one of my dearest friends; we're super close and I honestly couldn't feel more pregnant myself."
