WINEHOUSE'S HUSBAND ARRESTED

The husband of singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested on the charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, of Camden, north London, was one of five men arrested by the Metropolitan Police in connection with the case and will appear at Thames' Magistrate's court along with Anthony Kelly, 25, of Chalk Farm, north London.

The arrest follows the searching of the Back to Black singer's house yesterday, with a police spokesperson at the time confirming there was "police activity" at the Camden property.

A spokesperson for the service stated at the time that four men - two 25-year-olds, a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old – were being questioned in connection with a probe into an alleged perversion of the course of justice.

A 36-year-old was also detained in Sheffield, police confirmed.

Rehab star Winehouse and Fielder-Civil were not present at the time of the operation, leading to police using crowbars to prise open the door of the house. Detectives searched the premises and left the property holding boxes.

Fielder-Civil was due in court this Monday to face charges of assaulting east London barman James King earlier this year.

Last month Winehouse was arrested in Norway for the possession of drugs and was fined for the infringement, while over the summer the troubled 24-year-old star had to be admitted to hospital after an overdose.

At the time the award-winning singer cancelled appearances across the world, as she recovered from her health problems, and only recently returned to making performances on the public stage.

Reports emerged on Thursday that Winehouse had kept production staff waiting for a whole day only to not show up for a scheduled video shoot.
