WINEHOUSE'S DAD FURIOUS OVER SPIKE CLAIMS

AMY WINEHOUSE's father MITCH is furious about reports stating he's convinced the star's recent hospital dash was the result of her being spiked with ecstasy - insisting he never made the claims.
The Back To Black hitmaker was admitted to hospital on Monday (28Jul08) after she fell ill at her London home.
The singer's spokesman subsequently released a statement blaming her condition on an adverse reaction to medication she is taking to help kick her drug addiction.
Winehouse was discharged from London's University College Hospital on Tuesday (29Jul08) morning following a series of medical tests.
However, reports in British newspaper The Sun claimed a source had revealed how "Mitch was furious", and that he was "certain someone put E (ecstasy) in Amy's drink".
But the singer's dad has dismissed the reports, and is eager to find out who made the claims to the tabloids.
When asked by the BBC if he thought his daughter's hospital admittance was because she was spiked, Mitch told reporters it was not, and explained he had never insinuated it was.
He added, "And I don't know who this source is. But I'm gonna find out."
