WINEHOUSE 'STUCK IN LIFT' AT AWARDS

AMY WINEHOUSE caused chaos at the Q Awards in London on Monday (26Oct09) when she got stuck in a lift as she was due to present a prize.
The Back to Black hitmaker was scheduled to hand the Q Inspiration award to ska legends The Specials at the ceremony but the presentation was delayed for several minutes when the singer could not be located.
British reggae star Don Letts eventually stepped in to give out the award - before Winehouse suddenly arrived at the back of the venue and dashed towards the stage.
She was too late to present the honour, so instead grabbed the microphone and announced to the bewildered guests: "Ladies and gents. I know you've been to a million and one of these but put your hands together for the most inspirational band of all time."
Embarrassed Winehouse quickly hurried out of the venue when she realised her blunder - and the BBC reported the singer had arrived late after she got "stuck in a lift".
