WINEHOUSE, DIZZEE RASCAL LEAD MOBO'S LIST

Troubled star Amy Winehouse has been nominated for four awards at the Music of Black Origin (Mobo) Awards.

The Rehab Singer will compete with rapper Dizzee Rascal, also nominated in four categories, for the best song and best video prizes at the event in September.

Winehouse, who has cancelled a number of performances this year due to fatigue and reported substance abuse problems, is also up for best UK female and best R&B act.

She will face stiff competition for best UK female, with Beverley Knight, Corinne Bailey Rae, Joss Stone and Jamelia all in the running for the award.

Dizzee Rascal, of Fix Up Look Sharp fame, will also be up against Kano, Lethal Bizzle, Sway and Wiley in the best UK male category. He faces even tougher competition for the best hip hop prize, with world-renowned rapper Kanye West and 50 Cent among the nominees.

Rihanna, whose hit song Umbrella spent ten weeks at the top of the UK charts, is up for the prize of best video, but not best song.

Her talents with a brolly will be compared with Winehouse's crooning in Back to Black, Kanye West's Stronger and Dizzee Rascal's Sirens.

Amerie's Take Control, Winehouse's Rehab, Dizzee Rascal's Sirens,
Neyo's Because of You and Thicke's Lost Without You are the contenders in the best song category

The Mobo's will be hosted by Jamelia and rapper Shaggy at the O2 centre in London.
