Singer AMY WINEHOUSE's offer to purchase an apartment in London has been rejected after the building's residents committee vetoed the star. The Back To Black hitmaker is already renting a home in the same development - but wanted to permanently purchase a warehouse-style home in the trendy east London complex, which she shares with her hairdresser friend Alex Foden, who is responsible for the 24-year-old's new cropped, blonde hairstyle. A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, "Her application was refused. The feeling was that neighbours would be uncomfortable with the attention she gets."
