Amy Winehouse - Winehouse Crowned Biggest Loser In Poll

British singer AMY WINEHOUSE has been named the Loser of the Year in the Virgin Media Music Awards 2008.

The Back to Black star took the unwanted gong for the second year running in the online poll, which surveyed three million members of the public.

The title caps off a troubled year for the Rehab hitmaker, in which she battled drugs and illness and saw her husband Blake Fielder-Civil jailed for causing actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

Elsewhere in the poll Leona Lewis took the prestigious Best U.K. Act, while girl band The Saturdays won Best New Act. Australian singer Kylie Minogue was named Legend of the Year and R+B star Rihanna took Best International Act.

The Best Album gong went to U.S. rockers Kings of Leon for their fourth LP Only By The Night, while Katy Perry's single I Kissed A Girl won Best Track. Paris Hilton was elected Best Hanger On.
