WINEHOUSE BOOED ON TOUR RETURN
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse was booed by fans on the first night of her UK tour in Birmingham after giving a muddled performance.
The Back to Black star disappointed fans at the National Indoor Arena after seemingly letting recent personal problems get the better of her.
Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently being held on remand on a number of charges including GBH after an alleged assault of a pub landlord, as well as perverting the course of justice, with the Metropolitan police reported to have uncovered an attempt by Mr Fielder-Civil to pay the victim of the reputed assault to drop the charges.
The 24-year-old singer dedicated a song to her husband, but was said to have frequently burst into tears during last night's concert, before dropping her microphone and leaving the stage during an encore cover of the Zutons' Valerie.
Earlier in the evening she told the crowd: "To them people booing, wait 'til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that."
After the show, fan Zoe Giorgio told the BBC: "When she did sing she sounded phenomenal but she was not ready to be up on that stage. She was so weak, so vulnerable."
Her 15-year-old daughter Nicola Giorgio added: "I felt sorry for her because she kept crying.
"Every time she did a song she put 'Blakey' or 'I love my Blakey' into it, and she changed the song Me and Mr Jones into Mr Blakey."
The singer cancelled a number of concerts in the summer, citing "health issues".
