Singer CARNIE WILSON has landed the "perfect" job - as the new host of classic TV series THE NEWLYWED GAME. The Wilson Phillips singer will host 40 episodes for America's Game Show Network's remake of the quiz, where newly-married couples answer questions to find out how well they know each other.
And Wilson believes she is the right choice to be following in the esteemed footsteps of former host Bob Eubanks when the show kicks off in April (09).
She says, "I've always loved game shows. My personality and energy is perfect for something like this. First of all, I'm married, and I loved watching The Newlywed Game when I was younger. I watched it all the time. I always hoped the couples would start fighting."
