WILSON: 'I MISS THE 60S'

BEACH BOYS legend BRIAN WILSON misses the 1960s - because music ever since has been "trash"
The Good Vibrations hitmaker, who led the way in music production with his groundbreaking 1966 album Pet Sounds, insists youngsters nowadays are missing out by not listening to records from the past.
He tells Uncut magazine, "I guess I miss the '60s. All that great music, y'know. The Four Tops, Phil Spector, The Beatles. Music nowadays isn't the powerful force it was back then. That's sad but true.
"A lot of young people are content to settle for trash. They don't want to know about people like Phil Spector. They don't want to listen to albums like (Van Morrison's) Astral Weeks."
And Wilson also reveals his strange voting tactics. Asked who he is backing in the forthcoming U.S. presidential elections, he replies, "MCCain. John MCCain. He has a good smile. He is a good man I think."
