WILLIS CROWNED KING OF CELEBRITY JUNGLE

The newly crowned king of the celebrity jungle, MATT WILLIS, arrived back in the UK this morning after spending three weeks in the Australian jungle.

The former BUSTED singer was named the winner of reality TV show I'M A CELEBRITY… GET ME OUT OF HERE on Friday.

He edged ahead of fellow finalists MYLEENE KLASS and JASON DONOVAN in what he described as a surprise win.

"I don't really understand. I did not do anything. I don't get this," he said.

But fans of the show will disagree, as they watched WILLIS munch on mealworms, a crocodile eye and penis, whitchety grub and kangaroo anus to stay in the game.

And his persistence and strong stomach are likely to pay off for the young singer as the publicity that comes with winning the reality TV show could not have come at a better time.

The ITV reality TV show has helped catapult D-list celebrities into bona fide stars in the past – and it is expected that WILLIS is set to capitalise on the trend.

He is currently promoting his debut solo album entitled DON'T LET IT GO TO WASTE, which was released last month.

The first single from the album will be released officially next Monday and with the 23-year-old's newfound celebrity status, it is expected that it will be a hit this festive season.

Former winners include ex ATOMIC KITTEN KERRY KATONA, who used her fame to write a book and appear in various commercials.

Glamour model JORDAN and singer PETER ANDRE met and fell in love during the show and their public romance led to a highly publicised wedding last year, as well as a resurgence of both their careers.
