WILLIAMS' 'WAKE-UP CALL' FROM GIBSON

Troubled actor ROBIN WILLIAMS was inspired to check into rehab when he saw how graciously MEL GIBSON sought help after his drink-fuelled fall from grace in July (06). The MRS DOUBTFIRE star announced he was seeking treatment for alcoholism less than two weeks after Gibson's arrest for drink-driving. In an interview to be aired today (02OCT06) on US TV show ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, Williams describes the Gibson saga as a "big wake-up call". He explains, ""Well, if (rehab) was good enough for him, I'll go. If you're violating your standards faster than you can lower them, (it's) time to go away."
