WILLIAMS TO QUIT SMOKING ON NEW YEAR'S DAY
British pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS has vowed to quit smoking for good on New Year's Day (01JAN07), despite currently inhaling 60 cigarettes daily.
The RUDEBOX singer has always refused to ditch his unhealthy habit in the past because he fears he will pile on the pounds as a result.
But he now says, "I smoke loads and I really don't want to any more.
"I want to give them up for good in 2007 but I'm a fat bloke inside this body and the minute I stop smoking, I'll get even bigger."
