WILLIAMS RACES TO GIG AFTER ARREST

Comedian KATT WILLIAMS was arrested and taken to jail on Thursday (06Nov08) on weapons charges - but still managed to hit the stage for his stand-up gig later that evening.
The star, 37, and his 10-person entourage were taken into custody in the early hours of the day after cops found the comic's red Cadillac Escalade parked in New York City without a license plate. Officers also found three guns in plain sight in the vehicle and a Mercedes bus they had also been travelling in.
Authorities handcuffed the star when he came out of a nearby building and admitted ownership of the vehicles.
But Williams managed to post bond and arrived at his sold-out show just an hour behind schedule, reports the New York Daily News.
He joked to the audience: "I'm not moving at my usual pace. I just got out of jail 35 minutes ago."
