WILLIAMS' PERFORMANCE RUINED BY STAGE MISHAP

A terrified ROBBIE WILLIAMS struggled during his live comeback on U.K. series THE X FACTOR after a jammed stage door nearly prevented him from performing.
The former Take That star appeared on Simon Cowell's TV talent show on Sunday (11Oct09), sealing his return to the spotlight after a three-year hiatus.
Concerned fans feared for his health as the star's pupils appeared dilated and he began sweating profusely - but Williams insists it was due to a stage mishap which knocked his confidence.
In a post on his official blog, he writes, "At this point in the rehearsals the music starts… The doors open… BUT LIVE… The music starts… The doors don’t open. So we’re a few seconds in and the doors remain closed… a few more seconds and they’re still closed.
“Now I don’t know if you’ve ever had 10 million people plus ready to judge you on your first performance back in three years but let me tell you, if the door between you and them isn’t opening that’s enough to throw you right off your stride. I had to wedge it open myself. That wasn’t part of the show.
“That was brute strength and now heavy nerves, shifting something I probably wouldn’t be able to move in the cold light of day. So there’s a bad start. I had a whole pose planned and what not. But that went out of the window.”
A spokesperson has assured fans there is no need to worry about Williams' health, explaining, "He was excited to be on the show and this came across in his performance."

It was brilliant Robbie. U need to turn the sound up on that song. We could not fault it. U are our Elvis , don`t forget it. But u looked drugged up when you were out side in the car. when thet guy got hurt. I can always tell if a song will be a hit. Of any sort of song. I`m not Simon. I know that, Why did u let the Sun write that article about u going back to California, and having kids and settling douwn. not a good idea at all, just before your comeback. I`m a supporter. And not so young. I should have been a Simon Cowel. Love Julie From Brighton
