WILLIAMS' MORK MEMORIES

Hollywood actor ROBIN WILLIAMS was convinced his entire career was over when TV show MORK AND MINDY was cancelled - because no one told him about it. The MRS DOUBTFIRE star starred as space alien MORK in the show, which ran for four years before being dropped in 1982. Williams was stunned when he found out about the show's cancellation from trade magazine Variety. He says, "I had to read about it in Variety. That was a pretty bad day. "I was dressed up at the time as a 3ft frog, doing THE FROG PRINCE with ERIC IDLE, and it was this kind of devastating thing where you go, 'Well, the ride is over, the game is done.'"
