WILLIAMS DESPERATE TO SELL LUXURY MANOR
British pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS has reportedly slashed the price of his luxury English manor in a bid to make a fast sale before Christmas (09).
The Angels hitmaker purchased the lavish 18th century property in Wiltshire, England in February (09) as he prepared to launch his music comeback.
But the singer is already desperate to offload the house - which boasts landscaped gardens, fountains and a helicopter hanger - due to the high maintenance costs.
He has now reportedly slashed $1.6 million (£1 million) from the price tag in an attempt to lure prospective buyers and speed up his planned move back to Los Angeles with girlfriend Ayda Field.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Robbie is desperate to get things moving quickly rather than hang around just to get a bit more money. Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is important to him. He's already got a few people interested in the mansion."
Williams recently divulged his reasons behind the move - admitting the estate is costing him too much money. He said, "I can't really afford to keep it. Maintenance is a lot. I've done a few impulse buys and it leaves you with no money."
