WILLIAMS COMEBACK FLOPS
ROBBIE WILLIAMS' highly-anticipated comeback is set for an embarrassing flop - he is receiving a mid-week chart hammering from the winner of a TV talent show.
The former Take That singer released his new single, Bodies, on Monday (12Oct09) and launched a massive publicity drive trumpeting his return to the limelight after three years in the music wilderness.
But early retail figures suggest he is in for a trouncing when the U.K.'s Top 40 rundown is announced on Sunday (18Oct09) - the winner of last year's The X Factor is outselling him by more than two-to-one.
Alexandra Burke's Bad Boys, featuring Flo Rida, shifted 90,000 copies on the day of its release, while Bodies sold just 40,000.
The staggering figures mean Burke's track became the best-selling single of the year in Britain within one day of hitting stores.
