WHITNEY WANTS TO 'FAST-TRACK' DIVORCE

Bodyguard star Whitney Houston wants to speed up the divorce from R&B singer Bobby Brown.

Whitney filed for a divorce from Bobby in October last year but has now requested a default judgement from Orange Country superior court, a legal move that could speed up the divorce proceedings.

The news was revealed by gossip website celebtv.com on Thursday who also added that the 43-year-old singer requested custody of the couple's daughter Bobbi Kristina, 13, with visitation rights granted to Bobby.

The court papers state there are "no issues of division of community property" between the couple who married in 1992.

New Jersey-born Whitney, who has sold a massive 120 million albums worldwide, is expected to release a new album this year with rumoured collaborations with hip hop heavyweights Akon and Missy Elliot.

It is also thought that Whitney will be calling on the help of her soulful family during the next year by recording a new song with her mother Cissy Houston, cousin Dionne Warwick, her daughter and a handful of other relatives.

Karaoke in the Houston house must be very competitive.
