WHITNEY TO PERFORM AT CHARITY EVENT
WHITNEY HOUSTON is following in the footsteps of TINA TURNER to perform at Caudwell Children's Legend Ball.
The singer, whose hits include I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU and MY LOVE IS YOUR LOVE, is set to appear at the event at Battersea Evolution in May, the Mirror reports.
Commenting on the announcement, John Caudwell, who founded the charity, said he was "thrilled" to have WHITNEY headlining the event.
"Last year was a huge success and with WHITNEY's support, we are fully expecting this year's event to be bigger and better than ever," he remarked.
According to the newspaper, last year's event raised £1.2 million for the charity, which aims to provide support for disabled children.
WHITNEY recently lent her support to the 17th Carousel of Hope Ball held in Beverly Hills.
Aiming to provide financial backing to diabetes research, the event raised $70 million (£35 million).
