WHITE STRIPES SIGN TO WARNER

Rockers THE WHITE STRIPES have signed a record deal with Warner Bros Records, the home of MADONNA, CHER, FRANK SINATRA and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. The band have been label-less since ending their last deal with V2 - a company which has since collapsed. The new deal is thought to be for just one album provisionally - and does not include releases by Jack White's side project THE RACONTEURS, which is handled by the rocker's own imprint THIRD MAN.
