WHITE PLANNING SECOND RACONTEURS ALBUM

Swashbuckling rocker JACK WHITE has scotched rumours of a WHITE STRIPES reunion - he is already working on a second RACONTEURS album following the success of their debut LP. White formed the STEADY AS SHE GOES outfit with BRENDAN BENSON, PATRICK KEELER and JACK LAWRENCE last year (05), but didn't envisage taking such a long sabbatical from performing with usual cohort MEG WHITE. But the massive popularity of BROKEN BOY SOLDIERS and the obvious chemistry with his new bandmates has prompted White to make a second album. He says, "I think (we'll do it) as soon as we get a chance, we're going to make another record. "We've been talking about where rather than when. We've got some songs ready to go."
