WHITE ARRESTED OVER 'DRUGS ON PLANE'

Comedian RON WHITE has reportedly been arrested for possession of marijuana - after he was stopped by police as he stepped off a plane in Florida.
The Grammy-nominated funnyman, who shot to fame as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, is said to have been detained by cops in Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday (10Sep08) after jetting in for a show.
Officers allegedly found a small amount of pot and a pipe, and the comedian was arrested. He was later charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and less than 20 grams of marijuana, and was released on $1,000 (GBP570) bail.
White turned up an hour late for his show that evening at the Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce.
Officer John Morrison, of Vero Beach Police, said they had received an anonymous tip-off that a passenger on an airplane due to land at 5 p.m. on Wednesday would be carrying illegal drugs.
