GOSSIP GIRL star ED WESTWICK scares his fans off - because they fear he's as nasty in real life as the character he plays in the hit show.
Westwick stars as manipulative Chuck Bass in the U.S. series, and struggles to convince followers he's nothing like his obnoxious alter ego.
He says, "I see fans walking towards me, and I can see in their eyes that they're thinking 'Is he going to be nasty to me?' They seem wary, but then they get chatting and they're like 'Oh, you're nice'. They're used to seeing this nasty side on TV, but that's not the real me.
"Chuck's a bad boy, and that's fun to play. But I would never manipulate someone for my own benefit."
