WEST SUED OVER KNIGHT SHOOTING

Fallen rap mogul MARION 'SUGE' KNIGHT is taking legal action against hip-hop superstar KANYE WEST over an incident at a party three years ago in which he was allegedly shot and robbed.
The former Death Row Records boss - who recently filed for bankruptcy - claims he attended West's pre-MTV Video Music Awards event at a Miami, Florida nightclub in 2005, where an unknown person shot him in the leg - shattering a bone.
He also claims to have been robbed of a 15-carat, $135,000 (GBP86,538) diamond earring.
Knight filed papers on 30 October (08) at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in L.A. claiming the Stronger hitmaker is to blame for the incident for allowing a gun to get past security checks at the venue.
He is seeking damages for his injuries and for the loss of the jewellery. Knight has also reportedly worked out a deal with bankruptcy officials that would see him keep a percentage of any possible payout from the lawsuit, according to TMZ.com.
