WEST REQUESTS PRIVACY FROM PAPARAZZI

Rapper KANYE WEST is refusing to apologise to the paparazzi in Los Angeles over a scuffle last month (Sep08) - instead requesting they leave him alone.
The Stronger hitmaker landed at the city's LAX airport on Friday (03Oct08) from Hawaii, where he was putting the finishing touches to his upcoming album 808s + Heartbreak.
But the hip-hop star restrained himself from repeating his actions at LAX last month (11Sep08), when he reportedly attacked a photographer and smashed his equipment to the ground during a struggle.
Instead, West declined snappers' calls for an apology for the airport fracas, simply telling them: "I'm gonna ask you as a man to leave me alone."
West and his assistant were arrested following the September (08) incident and charged with felony vandalism, but the charge was later dropped by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.
