WEST RECORDS NEW VERSION OF LOVE LOCKDOWN

KANYE WEST has bowed to pressure from his fans to rework his new song LOVE LOCKDOWN - after the track was criticised for its poor quality.
The Stronger rapper performed the song for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles earlier this month (07Sep08), but he was soon inundated with fans' calls for him to go back into the studio and record a better version.
The single was slammed for what devotees had considered as "below average" production, and for West's use of Auto-Tune in the chorus.
So West took heed of the advice and is now preparing a new version of Love Lockdown - the first single from his forthcoming album 808s and Heartbreak.
In a post on his official blog dated 15 September (08), he says: "Your prayers have been answered! There's a new version of Love Lockdown coming.
"We used new Taiko drums and I re-sung it… it's being mastered now."
But West also used the post to take a swipe at his critics, writing: "Sidebar... if you don't like autotune... too bad cause I love it and have been using it since the College Dropout!!!"
